Woven above the clouds.
Our rugs come from Imlil, a village 1,700 metres up in the High Atlas at the foot of Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Most mornings the valley fills with cloud and the summits rise out of it like islands. The Atlas has no sea, so it made its own.
Highland wool is spun by hand and woven on vertical looms by women who learned from their mothers. SEAIO is run from France by its founder, in direct contact with the weavers. No showroom, no warehouse, no middleman to pay for.
